Look at this beautiful child's Christmas Quilt, donated by Dorothy from the Quilting Group as first prize in the raffle at the Craft Showcase.
Never mind the children, I would like to win this one!
The other prizes are:
2nd: Handmade Agentium silver & Swarovski bead Bracelet;
3rd: Triumph LED desk lamp with magnifier.
Don't miss out on your chance to win one of these great prizes - tickets will be $5 each, and the draw will be made at the conclusion of the Craft Showcase, 4pm on Sunday 16th October.
We hope you are all busily crafting away, because there are less than three weeks to go until The Craft Showcase on 15th & 16th October!
We have already received some items for display, and know that there are some more gorgeous items to come in – and we are really looking forward to being inspired by the crafts all you clever people are making!
And in case you need a bit of inspiration, here is a photo of the beautiful box that Tric has made!
By popular demand we have added a new category for judging – Pottery. So all of you who work with clay are also now invited to enter your creations for judging.
We know that there are some really skilled people out there, so hope you will want to show off your work. Download the entry form from the website and return it to the office, and then bring in your items during the week beginning 10th October.
Well, not quite billions!
But, as you can see, there are an awful lot of buttons there, AND they will be for sale at the Craft Showcase @ Cashmere on 15th & 16th October. Whatever your project you are bound to be able to find buttons to suit.
We are so excited to be bringing you this opportunity to both see a variety of crafts and art, and to exhibit your own items. Click through to the “Entry Categories” page for details of the categories and to download an entry form.
For our displays, we already have a selection of various needlecraft items, and the lovely quilting ladies who meet at the Cashmere Presbyterian Centre each week are coordinating the quilt display, but we would love to have some more Heritage items to show. Have you got something made by your Mother or Grandmother – or something you made yourself years ago – that you would be willing to lend to us? Please do contact us if you can add to our displays.
And something to get the collection started. This needlecase was made by my husband’s great aunt (a “proper nanny”) back in the 1920’s. All beautifully hand stitched and totally practical.
Keep checking back for news and updates – and do get out your pins and needles to create that special something to enter in the Craft Showcase!
